The 8.31″ ESEE-3MIL-P features a black finished 1095 high carbon steel construction, with a flat ground 3.875″ blade with a plain cutting edge. The handle consists of tan Micarta scales with a sharpened glass breaker pommel, which adds great versatility to this knife. The ESEE-3MIL-P includes a Foliage Green molded plastic sheath, boot clip, paracord lanyard, cord lock and Cordura MOLLE back. Carbon steel knives are preferred by those who want a sharp, long-lasting edge. With use, a carbon steel blade will develop a distinctive dark finish. This is not a defect, but a natural result of the use of high-carbon steel.
